How long does a greenhouse film last?

HaGa® UV5 greenhouse film is designed to last for approximately five growing seasons without losing its effectiveness. Thanks to its UV resistance, it is durable and will protect your plants for around 2.5 years.

How do you attach greenhouse foil?

The greenhouse film is ideally attached using film holders, special clamping rails or film adhesive tape. These ensure that the film is securely and tightly attached to your greenhouse frame, so that it remains stable even in strong winds.

What is the best greenhouse film?

The best greenhouse film should offer a combination of UV resistance, tear resistance and light transmission. HaGa® greenhouse film UV5 meets all these criteria and also offers the advantage of long-term durability over at least five growing seasons.
Application

  1. Cut the greenhouse film to the appropriate size. Remember to allow a small overhang on all sides to securely attach the film.
  2. Starting at one corner, attach the film to the frame using suitable film holders, clamps, or film tape. Make sure the film is stretched taut and smooth to avoid wrinkles. Work systematically around the structure until the entire film is securely attached.
  3. For added security and durability, you can secure the protruding edges of the tarpaulin with weights, ground anchors, or additional tarpaulin holders. This will prevent the tarpaulin from slipping or becoming damaged in strong winds.
  4. After installation, check that the film is taut and secure throughout. Make adjustments if necessary to ensure the film is optimally tensioned and completely covers the structure.

Folie für Mini-Gewächshaus

Ich habe eine sehr kleine Gartenfläche und seit 2 Jahren 2 Hochbeete. Die Hochbeete mit Folie als Frühbeet zu nutzen war mein Ziel. Mit Estrichgitter vom Baumarkt habe ich einen Tunnel aufgesetzt und diesen mit der Folie überspannt. Die Federspannung des Gitters und das Einrollen der Folieseiten legt die Folie gut fest, so daß sie auch bei stärkerem Wind nicht verrutscht. Bestätigt sich die erwartete Haltbarkeit, kann ich diese Folie jederzeit empfehlen. Auf für Kleinanwender super geeignet.

Ihr seid zu früh - bei uns liegt Schnee, da baue ich kein Gewächshaus. Daher habe ich noch nichts verwendet. Die Folie wirkt stabil, so viel kann ich sagen. Nur die Farbe ist… gewöhnungsbedürftig…

Die Folie ist sehr stabil und dick. Ich benutze sie als Schutz für meinen Pfirsichbaum. Ich habe ihn als Spalier gezogen . Die Folie schützt vor Regen und beugt der Kräuselkrankheit vor. Das ist mein erster Versuch und ich bin sehr gespannt.
