The advantages of our wooden posts at a glance

When you buy a wooden post from HaGa-Welt, you're investing in certified quality. Wood, as a renewable resource, is not only ecologically sound, but its natural appearance also blends harmoniously into any environment. To ensure you make the right choice for your project, we focus on specific quality features.

Why every wooden post is milled round

A wooden post that has been milled round offers significant advantages over roughly hewn posts. Due to the cylindrical milling, the post has exactly the same diameter along its entire length.

  • Easy assembly: Accessories such as insulators, crossbars or wire fasteners can be fitted precisely.
  • Uniform appearance: Especially with privacy fences or paddock fences, the uniform shape ensures a calm overall look.
  • Safety: The smooth surface minimizes the risk of splinters 🪵

Working efficiently: Why the wooden stake is delivered pointed.

Time is precious in garden and landscape design. That's why every wooden stake we offer is pointed .

  • Centered driving: The pointed tip ensures that the post does not break out so easily when being driven in.
  • Less effort required: The resistance in the ground is significantly reduced, which massively speeds up the installation.
  • Precision: The tip allows for precise positioning of your fence line.

Applications for pressure-treated round timber

Our round timbers are true all-rounders. Thanks to high-quality pressure impregnation, they are protected against typical outdoor hazards.

Robust fencing and agriculture

Whether it's a wildlife fence, a horse enclosure, or a classic property boundary – a stable post is essential. Our posts can withstand even high tensile loads from tension wires.

Professional tree care and planting aids

Young trees need protection against wind damage in their first few years. A pressure-treated wooden stake serves as a reliable support that can remain in the ground for years without losing its stability 🌳

Creative garden design

You can also use our round timber for:

  • Bed edging: Create clear structures in your planting areas.
  • Pergolas & trellises: Give climbing plants like roses or vines a secure hold.
  • Playground construction: Due to the smooth milling, the posts are ideally suited for natural play areas.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions about wooden piles

What type of wood is used for the posts?

We generally use pine or spruce wood from sustainable forestry. These softwoods are particularly well-suited for impregnation because their cell structure optimally absorbs the protective salts.

How deep do I need to drive a wooden stake into the ground?

For sufficient stability, approximately one-third of the total length should be sunk into the ground. For a 150 cm long post, this means that about 50 cm should be below the surface.

Can the posts be shortened or drilled?

Yes, that's perfectly possible. However, please note that any cut or hole will interrupt the impregnation. We recommend sealing such areas afterwards with a wood preservative.

How long does a pressure-treated wooden post last?

Depending on soil conditions and weather influences, the average lifespan is 10 to 15 years. This time can be extended further by applying an additional protective coating or using post anchors.
